Simply Smitten

To say that Kyle and I are in love with our new niece is definitely an understatement! Kennedy Grace Arnold was born April, 2nd at 9:58pm and she is the most precious baby girl EVER!

She is a tiny thing only weighing 6lbs 1oz.

The day was definitely a family affair. Everyone was on pins and needles waiting for sweet Kennedy to make her arrival. We were all so happy when we could finally hold her!

Mom and Dad are doing wonderfully and absolutely loving their precious baby girl!

Love all of her funny little faces!

Kyle and I are so in love and now even more excited for our bundle of joy to be here in July. Kennedy and Levi have a fun life ahead and will be wonderful friends!

2014...A BIG YEAR!

So...it's been a while, but with a year like 2014 there's no better time to pick this back up!

It's going to be an eventful year for us Arnolds! In April, Kyle and I will become Aunt and Uncle to Kennedy Grace, Chris and Amy's little girl! We could not be more excited and it has been such a fun experience to go through all the stages with them thus far! We are counting down the weeks until she makes her appearance!

The big change in our lives is coming in July, that's when Kyle and I will become MOM and DAD! Isn't that amazing?!? We are beyond blessed to be expecting a little boy! Many of you know our story and know that our road to parenthood hasn't been the easiest, but we know God has a plan for our lives and this is in his timing.

The night we found out we are expecting a boy was so special. Kyle and I went to First Glimpse in Macon, our appointment wasn't until 7:45 in the evening so the whole day seemed to go by in slow motion! It was so amazing to see our little guy on the big screen.

The next night we had dinner with our parents and siblings to share the news. It was nice having a night to ourselves to let it all soak in then share in our families excitement the following night.

House Face Lift

Since we moved in our house in May one of the projects on our list has been to paint our shutters and front door! Finally, this past weekend we succeeded at marking this off our list! Kyle's Aunt Sherry gave us beautiful rocking chairs and a table for Christmas and we painted those this weekend also!

Before picture...

AFTER!!!!!! It looks like a different house!!

We LOVE our new front porch!

Maci likes the color of our new front door too! (Isn't she so beautiful??)

It was a great weekend to be out working on projects! Signs that spring is on the way!

Just What the Doctor Ordered

I never knew how much a simple girls weekend could mean to me until after a weekend spent with my best friends just a few short days after the worst news of my life.
On November 5th Kyle and I took a home pregnancy test and found out we were expecting a little one! To say we were excited in an understatement! We could not wait to tell our family so we did that following weekend. We had our first doctors appointment on November 30th at 8 weeks along. There we got to see a sonogram and watch the baby's heart beat. The doctor told us everything looked great and he would see us back at 12 weeks and scheduled our next appointment for January 3rd. On Sunday, December 30th I started spotting and cramping, we immediately called the doctor. He told us to stay at home until the following day unless my condition worsened. On Monday morning we went straight to the doctors office only to find out we had lost our baby. This was one New Years Eve that will never be forgotten.

Each day gets better than the day before but spending a weekend with my girls that mean the most to me helped more than I could ever imagine. We had planned this weekend back at the beginning of December when Kyle told me that's when he would be on his annual guys river camping trip. God knew what he was doing when it just so happened everyone's schedules were clear for this weekend.

We spent the weekend in Eatonton at Ashlen's dads house where we got to be lazy, shop, play with baby cows, and watch a cow give birth.

These babies were skid-dish at first but after they warmed up to us they kept wanting to suck on our finger like they were getting fed from a bottle. They were so cute!

This is the precious baby cow to got to witness being born. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever seen. It was so adorable watching it trying to take it's first steps.

After we left the cow farm we headed back to the house for a little target practice. Everyone shot a few times but I really liked these pics we were able to capture.

Spending the weekend with these wonderful friends helped lift my spirits and realize God has a plan for everything and sometimes we may have to go through hard times but we will see the reward in the end.

Kyle also had a fun weekend with his buddies. These are a few of the pictures he sent me from his weekend.

They set out very early Saturday morning!

The guys all bundled up!

Trying to keep warm by the campfire!

We have been so blessed with amazing family and friends who have been so supportive during this time in our lives and we cannot thank them enough. We hug each other a little tighter at night truly realizing just how precious life is.

For the second year in a row the Arnold's have had a pumpkin carving contest! It just adds a little extra fun and competitiveness to a fun fall event!

From left to right the pumpkins belong to Bo and Wendy, Cam, Chris and Amy, then Kyle and I.

We called up some neighbors to come over and judge....Bo and Wendy were the winners...Kyle and I came in 2nd place!

My Best Friends Wedding

Stevie and I have been friends since 7th grade and she means the world to me so getting to stand by her as she married the man of her dreams was amazing! The day could not have been more perfect! The weather was nice, not much of a breeze and the sun was shinning!

We got to Tryphena's Garden at 8:30 to start hair and make up! All the girls had so much fun getting ready together all day!

The bridesmaids had a good idea to send a picture text to Tommy to tease him about how amazing Stevie looked!

Just wait till you see her the signs read! This little flower girl, Savannah, was the cutest flower girl there ever was! She was a camera hog and was always posing and smiling!

Stevie looked AMAZING and her dress fit her perfectly!

Me and my hunnie...

I spy 2 photographers in the train line...these ladies know how to enjoy their job! (Check out thier amazing work at www.wedoweddingphotographyblog.com)

Ended the night with a firework show!

It was an amazing day for my best friend and Kyle and I wish her and Tommy a life time of happiness!

Luke Bryan

Anyone who knows my sister knows that she is OBSESSED with Luke Bryan. She knows his whole life story, every word to every song and she loves seeing him in concert. Recently he came to Macon on his Farm Tour and we decided to go! Of course Mollie was going to go by herself if no one would go with her...but Daddy, Teena, Mollie and Judson all came down for the weekend and Daddy, Teena, Mollie and I went to the concert! We left Kyle and Jud at home!

The concert didn't start until 7:00 and everyone knows that's only the first opening act, Luke wouldn't be on until much later! We wanted to get as close to the stage as possible so we got there at 3:30 to get in line! The gates opened at 5:00 and Mollie and I darted to the stage! Daddy and Teena had their chairs so they hung back to get a good seat. Mollie and I ended up right by the stage! We could not have been in a better spot! But now came the waiting game...it was only 5:00 and no one started playing for 2 hours! I cherished this time! I loved getting to spend this time with Mollie, talking about everything and nothing! The time pasted fast and before we knew it the first opening act was on stage! Three opening acts performed and then it was time for Luke! Having seen him in concert many, many times he never disappoints! He basically stood, well DANCED, in front of us ALL night! It was amazing!!

This was such a great night! I loved getting to spend time with Mollie and see Luke shake it for us!
